Planning guide
How to plan a photo booth rental in Fort Lauderdale.
A practical guide to choosing a booth, planning the space, working with your venue and making the experience feel like it belongs to your event — whether that's a wedding, a corporate gathering or a celebration with your favorite people.
Start with the kind of event you're hosting
The right photo booth depends less on the booth itself and more on the room, the guest list and the feeling you want the photos to have. A wedding at a waterfront venue calls for something polished and unobtrusive. A corporate brand moment calls for branding options and shareable content. A birthday or private party calls for energy.
At Social Snap, weddings, corporate events and social celebrations each have a dedicated planning page, so you can see how the experience adapts to your occasion before you inquire.
Choose your booth style
The Studio Booth is the classic open setup: a professional camera, studio lighting, an easy touchscreen and one choice from the premium backdrop collection — drapes, crushed velvet, sequins or an existing tension fabric style — subject to availability, with optional instant prints. It suits venues where the booth becomes part of the room — guests gather, pose and walk away with something worth keeping.
The Selfie Booth is compact and digital-first. It fits smaller footprints and works well where guests want quick, shareable photos and GIFs without a full studio setup. No backdrop or backdrop selection is included.
The Enclosed Booth creates a private, immersive setting. Guests step inside, which suits venues with space for a dedicated footprint and events where a more contained experience fits the room. It can also be wrapped with your branding for corporate activations. No backdrop or backdrop selection is included.
All three are available across Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach, and the Selfie and Enclosed Booths can also be produced as branded permanent installations.
Digital or digital + print?
The Studio Booth comes in two formats. Digital focuses on instant sharing: photos, GIFs and boomerangs sent to guests' phones, plus an online gallery. Digital + Print adds unlimited instant prints — your choice of 2x6 strips or 4x6 prints — with a print layout designed for your event and a professional booth attendant. If a printed keepsake matters to your guests, choose print; if sharing is the priority, digital covers it.
Plan the space and power
The Studio Booth needs a level area of about 8 by 8 feet, plus clearance for guests to gather and pose in front of it. Other booth footprints are confirmed for each setup. All booths require an unshared 120V, 15-amp, three-prong outlet within 12 feet of the booth setup.
Indoor placement is preferred. Any outdoor setup requires Social Snap’s advance approval, level concrete ground, a covered area, a forecast showing 0% chance of rain, and low winds. Meeting these conditions does not guarantee approval. Unattended Selfie and Enclosed Booth outdoor setups are rarely approved. The self-service Studio package named The Social is indoor only. A Studio Booth with prints and an attendant may be approved outdoors under the same conditions. The attendant may pack down early if they deem the weather inclement. See the contract provided during booking for full details.
Think about placement early. The best spot is visible enough that guests find it, but out of the main traffic flow. Near the bar or the dance floor usually works better than a far corner.
Ask your venue the right questions
Before your date, confirm a few practical details with your venue: where vendors load in, when setup can begin, whether a certificate of insurance is required, and any rules about equipment placement or power access.
Social Snap is fully insured, and a certificate of insurance is available when your venue requests one. Sharing your venue's requirements early keeps the day itself simple.
Think about timing
For a wedding, consider reception time after dinner; for a corporate event, consider breaks or networking windows when guests are free to participate. Confirm load-in, setup and breakdown windows with your venue and Social Snap before finalizing the timeline.
If your timeline is unusual — a daytime brand activation, a multi-day conference, a late-night afterparty — mention it in your inquiry so the plan can be shaped around it.
Make it yours
Event photo design is where a photo booth stops feeling rented. The Studio Booth offers branded photo templates, so every print or digital share carries your names, date or event branding. Branded Selfie and Enclosed experiences are planned individually for corporate clients.
Vinyl wraps are available as an optional enhancement for an additional fee. If you have a brand or a theme in mind, bring it to the conversation and we can discuss options for your event.
